The L&C In-House Counsel’s Diagnostic is an excellent way (i) to do a focused, efficient inventory of both business risks and legal issues that should be addressed on a proactive basis and (ii) to provide a method that identifies and prioritizes risk management activities, actions to be taken and the scope of our work.
Such actions may include developing Policies and dispensing Training we can assist you with.
When necessary, we partner with your existing outside Counsels or with the network of legal and compliance specialists across EMEA and beyond we developed over the years.
We bring added value to that relationship by optimizing our clients needs, saving executives’ time by translating and preparing requirements to outside Counsels, gathering information and coordinating their work, controlling legal fees and always getting the most out of high-priced specialists.
For corporations with no regional in-house legal staff, we act as your In-house legal Counsel in liaison with the Corporate General Counsel, regional and local managements performing day-to-day general legal work and managing the legal services provided by outside Counsels. When corporations already have an in-house staff, we can assist at a much lower cost than traditional law firms and effectively work with your teams on special projects or assist with day to day operations.
Generally, we agree on a negotiated daily, weekly or monthly fee based on the scope of work and agreed number of day(s) per week or months dedicated to the client on a Retainer basis.
For the Diagnostic or other project-based services, a pre-determined Fixed Fee or Budget Fee is agreed upon.
When there is no pre-arranged time commitment or the services rendered are out of the scope of the work agreed upon, our lean cost structure enables us to offer a quite competitive hourly rate for a high level of expertise.
